Instagram is Reintroducing the Chronological Feed in 2022
What is up, everybody!
John Dirugeris here. It's been a second. I've been on a very big hiatus in my podcast due to the fact that my work has gotten very busy and I have not been able to post any content on my podcast recently. But I wanted to create this special podcast mainly because of something coming out of Instagram very soon.
(This is a transcript from my podcast.) 👍
So the head of Instagram Adam Mosseri, said that Instagram will potentially reintroduce the chronological feed as an option for your feed in 2022. This is huge. The reason why is because the main feeds of social media, especially Twitter, are chronological, and that's where Instagram could finally bring back that coveted feature that everybody hated when they went away from.
So welcome back Instagram to the roots of how they became successful. The chronological feed is coming back in 2022 now when? I expect somewhere in the first quarter.
But I really, truly have no clue. Nobody really does. But I believe it will happen somewhere in the first part of 2022, which is a very good sign when it comes to content producers, creators, businesses, people like that because that means your content will be in chronological order, which is awesome. So this is going to be a quick podcast. I think it's a great idea.
I think it's a move that would help the platform out. I believe that it is a strong competitive advantage play, especially since they tested out the non-chronological feed for so long. I believe it's a great move. Instagram is going to add the option of the chronological feed for your profile in 2022.
