Which Social Media Platforms Should You Use in 2022: B2B Edition
What I want to talk about is specifically which platforms, if you are in the B2B world, are going to produce the most results and going to be the most effective for you starting in the new year.
The first one right off the top of my head that I can think of is LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is getting incredible organic reach. It has become the Facebook of business. It has become a platform where people share content and not just look for jobs and to find people to hire. It is a place to share business content that connects businesses and individuals and also to push your B2B business and whatever sense that may be.
Right now, I would say LinkedIn should be number 1 in your 2022 social media strategy.
Number 2, I would say it is TikTok. The reason why is because the amount of people that are on TikTok is fairly even split between 18 to 60-year-olds.
For example, 18 to 25 is 25% of the platform's users, 26 to 34 is maybe 22%. I don't know the exact numbers off the top of my head, but it is along those lines. This means almost everybody's gravitating towards that platform, and the attention that is on TikTok is something that has not been seen since early Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and those sort of platforms.
Number 3. YouTube Shorts. Now, this is a very interesting platform that I've just discovered recently within YouTube, and I have seen it be as effective as TikTok and Instagram Reels
I want to group these two together: Reels and Shorts. For YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, there is an attention grab there is abundant.
I posted my first short and got 1,900 views on it and it was a simple video of me going through my day. That's all it was. I got 18 thumbs-ups, eight thumbs down, and I gained five subscribers from it.
Posting valuable content that drives value to the other business, whether that is an agency producing content for new businesses, maybe it's something along the lines of consulting services, financial services, things of that nature, is the essence of posting content on these new platforms.
The content you post can be what you're drinking this morning, this afternoon, or tonight, depending on when you're reading this and also pushing out content that is valuable. It is the biggest core concept that I push in producing content for myself and my clients.
The attention grabbed it is strong. You can gain massive virality by posting consistently. With that being said, that is going to wrap up which social media platforms you should use in 2022: LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts/Instagram Reels.
